Family ties......

There's just nothing like it!
Both of my brothers flew in for Paul's funeral,
so we were able to share a rare two days with all of us under one roof!
That's JD on the right and Jeremy on the left.
Gorgeous guys, aren't they?
And they have the personalities to match too!
I'm so thankful for the relationship the
three of us have.
We are very blessed to love eachother
as much as we do.
Some have called the above photo a rose among thorns!

That's my sweet grandma posing with us.
She's 82 and still does really, really well!

Me and my mom.
Isn't she beautiful?!!

After 2 weeks in Baltimore, I'm now home.
The kids and David were so happy to see me!
David did an awesome job filling my shoes for a while.
I'm told he only put Bren in mismatched (one blue, one black)
soccer socks for one practice!
I've got such a good man!
For those of you who are wondering,
we did get to share about a half hour together
in the airport on 9/22 as he flew in and I flew out.
We weren't sure if we'd get to see eachother at all,
so we were happy for the few fleeting moments we had.

It's my mom's birthday tomorrow,
so remember her in your prayers if you
think about it!

I was thinking about you this morning, Becca. I am so glad that you made it through the last couple of weeks and got to see your husband in the process. My prayers continue to be with your family. If there is one thing I learned after my mom died unexpectedly last year, it is that grief takes time...even when you know they are with the Lord...

Welcome home. I wish David was still there to "hang out" for a few weeks with you.

Yes, I admit it ~ I said it! (A rose between two thorns) But I'm allowed because I'm related to that beautiful bunch! Glad you were able to be with your Mom. I'm also glad that you're home with your family and wonderful husband! I love you!

Yeah..I am so glad to see you post and you are home safe and sound...someone said to me early this week that losing someone is like a journey we all don't want to take but we all are going to experience and the person that we lost is here to bring us together and remember why we love each other no matter what the past it or has been...it looks like that happened..I am so sorry for your mom's loss..I am thrilled you are home with Dave and the kiddo's..a mismatched soccer sock is piddlewinks..big smooches all around..S..ps someday we will see a movie!

What beautiful pictures. It always seems bittersweet to me that extended families are often only able to gather for weddings and funerals.

Becca, you have a stunning family!! I am so sorry for the grief your family has had to endure, and that you and your kiddos had to go without your dh for 4 mos. :( You are an inspiration to me!!

I just came upon your blog today, so I am late with condolences, but wanted to let you know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

HUGS!
Jamie :)
