Thinking Pink.....

It seems that we've had alot of opportunities to
think pink this year!
From the run that the boys did in Spokane
to having a photo of mine published in
a Spokane Magazine called "Eve A Magazine for Women".
The photo was of my friend Linda's sister and her friends who founded
which is a wildly popular company that sells
t-shirts and other items to raise money for
breast cancer research.
Their website is full of information
on breast cancer including warning signs and
how to do a self examination.
I personally know two breast cancer survivors and both women
are beautiful, strong, smart, loving gals with huge hearts.
Our family has also been touched by other types of cancer.
My cousin Carrie who is just a magnetic person
is beating colon cancer this year!
She's strong beyond belief
and I admire her determination
so much.
My friend, Melissa, gave us another opportunity
to think pink!
She created this fabulous shirt
to raise breast cancer awareness.
She even makes them in adult sizes so check them out!

{from hug,love,save website}
Approximately 178,480 women and 2,030 men
will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
Every 3 minutes, there is a new diagnosis of invasive breast cancer.
A woman has a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer in her lifetime.
With statistics like this,
breast cancer affects all of us either directly
or indirectly.
I'm sure most of us know someone who
is touched by this disease.
Think about what you can do to
get on board with the "think pink" campaign.

Thanks for the shout-out! I know the importance of pink & yellow (live strong); it's how I choose to fight the disease! It's so important to raise awareness and to make sure everyone does preventative exams & self exams. Mammograms & colonoscopies can save your life! knowledge is power! Living with cancer is only a chapter of my life. It doesn't tell the whole story! It's a hard battle to fight, but it will not defeat me! Thank you for you love and prayers! I love you!
Always, Carrie

Hi, I haven't commented much lately but I still like to check in. Your daughter is an amazing model - her facial expressions are perfect! My sister battled colon cancer two years ago. It was a tough battle but she is doing great. Please send my love and well wishes to your cousin.
