Go Wildcats!

We are definitely a football family!

Growing up I was in a baseball family,
but I've traded the leather of a catcher's mit
for the broad shouldered football uniform.

On any given Saturday afternoon or Thursday night
from September through February,
You can walk in our house and find
most of us on the couch in the living room
screaming for one college team or another.

Florida State rules in our house
and we've had more than a few
parties in our home with fellow seminole fans
to celebrate a particular game or season.

See, I may not understand every single football rule
or know exactly what a tight end is supposed to do,
but I do know how to make a mean ground beef and cheese dip
and how to host a fabulous football party!

And I know enough to understand
that in our house football is more
than just a game.

It's glue.
It binds us together and gives us one common
thing to cheer about.

Whether it be a game that one of the boys is playing,
a favorite college team like FSU
or an NFL game like the Jacksonville Jaguars,
football gives us
one solid reason to spend a few hours together
acting like fools and clapping our hands
over a great play.

It's also been a great way to bond with other families.
So many friendships have been formed
that have started with,
"So what team do you like?"

And for that reason,
I can honestly say that I LOVE football!

And I love what football does for our family!

This was the first of Michael's games this year
that David and I have been able to watch together.
Here he and Zach are reviewing a play.

And if you've ever been to a middle school football game,
you know that there is always a sideline group discussing
their own plan of action.
Here's the peanut gallery for the Wildcats.

So glad you were able to share in Michaels football game! I gotta say I don't understand all the rules either, but I can surely lead my voice in to cheer even if I have no clue what's going on LoL.

Once again I am just in awe of your photos.

Go Wildcats!
